More than I really wanted to know about cattle reproduction but authoritative and easy to understand. If you are serious about the subject, this would be a good addition to your library.
If you raise cattle this book is a must have.
This book is full of information on identifying superior cattle for finishing on grass. Lots of info that doesn't show up in your typical FFA livestock judging training.
If breeders would follow this book we would have great herds of cattle but quick, easy and low quality is how most want it. I hope some of the smaller breeders will read this book and help bring the bigger breeders down from the throne, they do not deserve. But then maybe this should be our little secret.
Any one that raises cattle that doesn't read this book should take up knitting or some thing other that farming and ranching.
Excellent book. I read it from cover to cover the first day I received it. Now I am re- reading and underlining the important points! As a cattle breeder thinking about breeding within my herd (not buying outside bulls) this book is exactly what I was looking for.
This book is well written and packed with important information for anyone who wants to improve their herd and a necessity for a beginning ranchers success.
This book is a must read for anyone interested in raising and managing a herd of grassfed cattle. The author demonstrates an outstanding knowledge of cattle from first-hand experience. Overall, this book is excellent.The only reason I don't give this book 5 stars is because of the writing. There is a LOT of material in the book, and I believe it could have been better organized and more detail could have been added on many of the topics. Even with these shortcomings, it is still an excellent book.
